The Hats!

Love of mountains takes researcher from Kalispell to Kyrgyzstan

Love of mountains takes researcher from Kalispell to Kyrgyzstan

“The mountains are calling and I must go.”
It’s a call Ann Piersall has heard all her life.
While growing up in the Flathead Valley, the mountains’ song lured her to Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness and skiing on Big Mountain.
More recently, the call has led Piersall to Kyrgyzstan, where she is studying mountains and glaciers as a Fulbright Scholar.
